OUR PROCESS
Tear Down
Prior to starting your kitchen, we provide our customers with a document entitled “Preparing for your Renovation” which helps you, the customer, get ready for our arrival. Our tear down crew will arrive on Day 1 to label, remove and transport the doors and drawers back to the workshop for cleaning, sanding, priming and painting.
Prep, sanding, and masking
In addition to tear down, we will unload the vehicle, protect the floors and countertops, cover all appliances, and clean the cabinets, sand, and mask to prepare for paint.
Prime on site
Prime all surfaces inside the home. All cabinet boxes on site will be hand painted and rolled. One to two coats will be applied, with sanding in between coats.
Doors and Drawers
The doors and drawers will be prepped, scuff sanded and primed in our workshop. If the substrate is open grain, we will apply two coats of primer, sanding between coats, to prevent bleed and to help fill the pores in the grain. If the substrate is closed grain, one coat of primer will be applied and sanded.
Paint on site
All cabinet surfaces inside the home will be painted with their first coat. We ask that you do not use the kitchen this evening so nothing can contaminate the surface.
Paint on site continued
Cabinets will be sanded, and a second coat of paint will be applied to cabinet surfaces.
Doors and Drawers
All doors and drawers will be painted in our workshop. This is a 2-3 day process
Install
Once they are fully dry, our crew will carefully pack your doors and drawers for transport to your home and install them. When the kitchen is complete, we do a final walk-through to make sure our customer is completely satisfied with the finished result.
